We are now seeking to add a Senior Production Manager / Process Focus Team Manager (PFTM) for Industrial Motion Control (IMC) production at our flagship Havant plant in Hampshire, UK.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Production Manager / Process Focus Team Manager (PFTM) for Industrial Motion Control will be responsible for:
• Ensuring all Health and safety guidelines are followed.
• Overseeing the production process, managing assembly lines, coordinating all production activities and operations across multiple product value streams.
• Resource planning, ensuring that key requirements are in place to meet the agreed forecasts.
• Maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Ensuring that production is cost effective, improving productivity and reducing scrap.
• Monitor the production processes against agreed KPIs, and proactively implementing actions when required.
• Organising the repair of equipment with the Engineering department.
• Liaising with different internal departments, teams e.g., finance etc.
• Collating and analysing data, putting together production reports for Manufacturing manager.
• Utilise CI tools to manage the day-to-day business and make improvements.
• Supervising and motivating a team of Team Leaders and Assembly operators in responsible area.
• Reviewing worker performance (and use corrective action as appropriate) and identify training needs.
• Achieve a double dight YOY productivity target set by Danfoss.
• Develop a CAPEX & OPEX roadmap to support the five-year manufacturing strategy for assembly operations.
• Maintain a diverse culture always ensuring high ethical standards.
Background & Skills
To thrive in this role, you'll ideally hold a degree or equivalent level qualification in a related subject, and display a background of working in a fast-paced engineering environment in a similar role overseeing production, manufacturing or assembly in automotive or similar sector. You'll also demonstrate:
Thorough understanding of root cause analysis, problem-solving, and error prevention.
Experience with Lean methodology.
Experience with ERP (advantageous).
Able to plan and organise a fast-paced production process.
Strong people leadership with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with team leaders and site management across the site.
Decisive and able to solve staff or equipment-related problems.
A high degree of attention to detail and extremely quality focused.
Able to work under pressure and multitask and work in a logical, systematic manner.
Desire to progress further than this role.
