Burner Components, within Danfoss Climate Solutions Segment, is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Production, Development & Application department with several dedicated colleagues in Nordborg.

We are an international team of Engineers working with development and improvement of products and production processes and prioritize teamwork, flexibility, a positive work environment, and embrace diversity.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will perform to contribute to develop products for combustion- and water application and to improve the production to achieve higher output, better quality, and reduced costs. You will be the link between R&D and the Production, you will be involved in various tasks from both sides.

In more detail, you will:

• Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement), with high demands on cost, performance, and reliability.

• Develop and design mechanical components and products using Autodesk Inventor.

• Prepare technical drawings and documentation for production equipment, components and products.

• Cooperate in cross-functional activities (quality projects, cost-down projects, complexity reduction projects...).

• Develop and optimize application testing methods in the laboratory in cooperation with different internal functions (for fuel and water application).

• Plan, execute and document application tests in the laboratory.

• Support in projects and developing plans for production optimizations.

• Support Supply Chain in troubleshooting and tests on production equipment or machinery.

Background & Skills

There are many ways into this role for the right candidate. Whether you are an experienced technician or an engineer by education, we value some years of experience in a similar role. However, we are also open to recently graduated engineers with the right attitude.

Most important is that you are experienced or a natural flair for working with technical equipment, automation, and mechanical products with a keen interest in further developing your knowledge and skills.

In your role, you have the opportunity to get to know a wide range of development, production and application areas and to develop yourself further. To be successful you must possess a high level of energy and drive and thrive in the role as initiator, supporter and finisher.

Familiarity with SAP, Inventor, six sigma, and IATF16949 is an advantage.

As we operate in a multicultural and international environment, proficiency in English is needed. For this role, basic proficiency in Danish is also required or a strong willingness to quickly learn and develop proficiency.
